Hospital Incident Command System for Executives

Overview

The HICS for Executives is a fast-paced introduction to “all-hazard” emergency management and the Hospital Incident Command System.  The program uses much of the same material from the HICS FUNdamentals program from the perspective of the hospital decision maker, but with less depth and activities.

• Recognize the need for hospital planning for emergency situations and the value of a standard format
• Identify the structure of the Hospital Incident Command System and its relationship with the National Incident Management System
• Demonstrate key functions of critical staff teams in emergencies
• Review the key elements found in ICS 100 and 200
